spies3trina (11:53:15 AM): and second, someone was given the ability to Ask if someone has a citizen role or not spies3trina (11:53:23 AM): and they asked reicheru and the results came up negative spies3trina (11:53:32 AM): so reicheru is etiehr a spy or a normal citizen
So this person has the power to see if a person has special human powers, or no human powers. So much for the raphael as counteragent plan.

Also, did anyone else hear of this role before hand? Or am I getting in good with Trina.

trina never told it to me - i'll try to talk to her later and see why whoever it is trusted her enough to tell her.

And remember not to ask her about it flat out. Wait till she tells you, this is a secret after all.

Wow... Trina sure knows a lot...

well here's the thing.
trina has a role, so anyone who investigates her will find out she has a role and is therefore a confirmed citizen.
however i doubt since imprisonment #4 isn't up yet that she was investigated this round by anyone. which means if anyone investigated her, they did so in round #3.
which means if reicheru was investigated, she was investigated in rounds #1 or 2.
which means the asker is probably one of the original leaderboard peeps.
arthur says he doesn't have a role, anneliese is the builder, reicheru was investigated, tenchi and jessica are spies ...
that leaves jack, carrie, jennipher, shane, and miles, so i think one of them is the asker, if the role exists.

|
|
Post by Claire on May 20, 2007 19:40:43 GMT -5
It's not Jack anyhow he would've investigated tenchi to make sure he was truly an ally.
that leaves carrie, jenniper, shane and miles

OMG... And Reicheru is protecting Jennipher in Episode 1 for NO REASON.

well I think we should try to imprision Trina ASAP as she knows a lot and is really helping out the citz right now and uncovering that a lot of people are citz. So the sooner the better.

I agree that we might need to get trina out. She was good for us when we could control her, but now she has too many people influencing her for us to be able to fully control her. But I think ultimately, bebe will be the best to decide if she is controllable.

trina definitely needs to go soon:
she knows anneliese is a confirmed citizen (well only like 95% sure cuz we can say taylor could be a lying spy)
she believes taylor and bruce are citizens cuz of their abilities
she trusts jack a LOT
she knows who the gift giver is
she really suspects tenchi
right now i think she has the most amount of knowledge. so she and anneliese and jack need to go, and soon.

So than next round are we agreed to imrision Trina?

Post by Jessica on May 21, 2007 16:58:53 GMT -5
yeah. Trina would be the best of the three who are "in the know". The other two have suspicion on them, regardless of how small, it could still get them a few votes.

Yeah...one reason I did not want to use the Do or Die in round 5 because I knew a lot of information but other people, like Taylor didn't lol. So it killed me when people started to vote for anneliese the next round grrr

LOL. I think it was another one of Meaghan's moments of divine insanity / genius... like spotting that the spies were in the middle section of Leo's suspicion list and saying that those six were all under suspicion "except Allison and Tyson"...

I still can't believe a fellow spy told me to use it on two fellow spies rofl....it wouldve made me think that claire was 100% citizen for sure haha.

Well the thing is, the few times that I talked to her (and it's safe to say I suspected her the least by far out of every spy there, I don't think I indicated a positive suspicion of her in ANY confessional EVER until the last two days) Meaghan/Claire actually dismissed my "clearing" of people like Bebe, Tenchi and Jessica, and said she suspected them! It threw me right off even until the end, when I thought Bruce was the spy and not Claire. As long as your companion isn't in serious danger, it's a brilliant tactic to use.

Trina, that was Claire's plan (I'm assuming) -
But the catch is, when a Spy is eliminated, the Spies need to survive another exile to make up for it, but with one less vote in their control and one less pair of ears.
They also need to survive another round of imprisonment, where roles like the Gift Giver, Counteragent, Gambler, Card Reader, etc. can be used to uncover more Spies.
Also, when a Spy is exiled, I think that every citizen and their mother leaps to claim credit for it, so Claire's "but I told Trina to do it" would not have meant much. Don't forget, at that point, practically everyone was pressuring Trina to use Do or Die - including Jordan (which is why Trina used her ability on him), and Anneliese (who was asking Trina to use it on me as well). I doubt very strongly Claire would've gained any solid credibility with many - if any - citizens.
And finally, when a Spy is uncovered, the citizens gain a huge strategic advantage. They now have a starting point to figure out who the remaining Spies are. That is absolutely killer.
That is why I think Claire's pressuring Trina to use her Do or Die power on a fellow Spy was a fucking idiotic, half-baked, half-assed, ridiculously stupid idea that unnecessarily put her fellow Spies at risk.

As regards the "Do or Die" thing - it could've turned out VERY badly for the spies. In the end though, Trina was too stubborn to do as any of us advised (which is probably a good thing in at least one case, since I told her to use it on Bruce!) and it didn't and actually took suspicion off Claire a bit. Unacceptable risk... maybe, but it worked out. And history has a way of putting a halo above winners' heads.

No one told me to use it on any of the spies except for Claire lol. So it didn't really do me any good to have listened to you guys. Anneliese, I think, said she told me to use it on Bebe but I really don't remember it .

Do or Die was actually interesting at round five. It would have been the best thing in this game for the Citizens except for one thing...

I definitely remember it, LOL. She posted something about it in the Burg, which is how I found out, and PMed you about it on 5/24.

First Trina wanted to use Do or Die on Arthur, then she changed it to Jordan right before the deadline, and then afterwards IM'ed me asking if she could change it to Bruce lol. I couldn't believe it, I was just sighing at that point haha.

Although, on the positive side, Trina was really feeling crappy that she ended up choosing Jordan who turned out to be a Citizen and was filled with doubt that she could have chosen a Spy but changed it at the last minute. I wanted to tell her that she didn't have to have those worries haha.
