Did any of you actually go to this stupid proboard they made? Besides Claire? I don't care if you did, I just want to know. They could be causing all this trouble for nothing.

Just so you know, I am pissed off about this ridiculous off-site trap that they have "evidence" from (personally I doubt anyone visited it anyway since when I went there I couldn't even see anything but something telling me to log in). Just the whole concept is ridiculous. I don't know what to do but this coming up at the last minute is dumb.

penalize the citz, i think it is owed to us! esp. after the double exiles and no imprisonments and then the forced jordan imprisonment

Yeah seriously. We need SOMETHING. And letting the citz get away with this after all the advantages they already got would be outrageous.

I did not go to the site, but I am at a different location that I usually use so I don't think it would really matter. But I do think that there should be some sort of penelty for those that created the site ect.

Looking from Sam's perspective, he is in a very bad situation.
If he penalizes the citz, they will lose and the citz will bitch.
If he doesn't penalize them, and they win, we have every right to bitch.
The best way this could work out is for him to not penalize us and for us to win.
I'm not saying I dont want them penalized because I truly do. I would love to win this game. We have already earned our victory, and in my mind, even if we lose at this point, we will have won in my mind because of how slanted it has been against us thus far. I am not accusing Sam of slanting it against us purposely, it was many unfortunate events that keep putting Sam in these tough decisions.
I just feel that the game will be under scrutiny either way. Sam has been using the fact that spies raping anyway will be the least controversial solution, and we have suffered from it many times.
I respect your decision either way Sam, I just feel that we have a lot of pressure on us from all of these other decisions you threw in the citizens favor just because we are winning.

Suggested punishment:
2+ Penalty votes to rei or taylor, who ever started the boards. It broke one of the two BIG rules. When claire accidentally and unsuccessfully cheated in challenge 1, she got two penalty votes. Its only fair.

I think that a higher action should be taken as this is a bigger cheat than what Claire did.

i didn't want to be successful after i found out it was cheating...and yes it's only fair. After that challenge I was endanger of going home too! and it scared the crap out of me! It is up to you sam, but they (we b/c i followed along like a good citizen would...and did) cheated and it is only fair that something happens to us and at the minimum Taylor started the board. And the citz might win the game b/c of that board b/c some how it cleared arthur.

penalize the citz, i think it is owed to us! esp. after the double exiles and no imprisonments and then the forced jordan imprisonment nothing is "owed" to anybody. On a side note, hosts do not "bargain" with players about rule decisions. That's antithetical to the very idea of hosting a game. I make decisions on an individual basis. I don't make rules based on "well if X hadn't been on the good side of a neutral rule decision yesterday, I wouldn't have done this but..." Yeah seriously. We need SOMETHING. And letting the citz get away with this after all the advantages they already got would be outrageous. What "advantages" would that be? Besides the normal course of the game which was planned from the start. I constantly ask this question, both in the forum and IM, but never get valid reasons. Yet it keeps coming up. Claire mentioned Double Exiles. Those were planned before the game started. If you need to know the balance reason behind having 13 Exiles instead of 12, I will explain my full pre-game reasoning to you after the game. Quickly: Catching 5 Spies in 12 Exiles is way too few. Spies 2 had 3 Spies in 10 Exiles. 12 / 5 = 2.2 spies per exile. 10 / 3 = 3.3 spies per exile. I still think 13 Exiles is too few but I had to go with it at some point. Everything else can be explained similarly. This will not be effective to anybody because I've said it 5 times already and I still see stuff like this. I already said I do not make decisions based on past events.

So far the facts I've gathered are:
- Someone created an off-site board for a certain group of people to discuss things, not realizing this broke the rules. - I have no idea what's on this board, I didn't register. - This was breaking Big Rule B of contacting each other through accounts I didn't provide. - They then, benignly, noticed the guest list was higher than it should have been. - No Spies (besides Claire) actually visited the board. - Therefore Tenchi's explanation of the google bot or my explanation of multiple guests (or most likely both, the IP on Spies 2 I visited that had extra guests matched the IP Tenchi posted in that link) is true. - Therefore no one was actually "trapped". - This was not a stated rule but obviously any sort of off-site IP trap is not allowed.
Am I missing anything?

Well because there was a breach of the rules, shouldn't something be done?

it is a hosts OBLIGATION after all to make sure all rules are followed.

Sam, I have told you that I hosted a game (not going to mention which one to keep my identity a secret) and we had several things happen that A LOT of contestants were not happy with, but they had to be done because the rules were not followed. I would be more than happy to tell you want happend over aim if you would like.

And in responce to the extra board that you did not athorize, if it helped to prove another citizen it might as well have been used to point out a spy. that is all really that i have to say.
