Find out your AIM password!

Still haven't forgotten about all 11 of ya. Congratulations on meeting everybody and keeping everything on the down-low.


It's time for your next task!


Want to get onto your AIM names so you can talk with your new friends? Well, you'll have to earn it. Simply solve a few puzzles and you will generate the password to your AIM account, which you may log onto immediately. Recall that your AIM screenname is spies3name where name is your name.


Your AIM password has four distinct parts. Read carefully.

Your AIM password: [given to you][sudoku number][chemical element symbol][final part]

Without the brackets of course. So if I gave you "hw3hnc" as your given, you solved "24" as your sudoku number, Uranium ("U") was your chemical element, and your final part was "c" your AIM password would be: hw3hnc24uc

It has to be in that order.

Some notes on each part:

Given Letters: Do not reveal these to other players! Every other part of your password may be made public, but this part will not be. So do not tell anybody these. With 6 letters/numbers the number of possible passwords is 2,176,782,336, so your password will be safe because you keep the given part secret.


Sudoku: Assemble the puzzle and solve it, then find out which box is yours and use those two numbers in your password.


Chemical: Feel free to spread as much information as you want. Theoretically, when two elements fuse, the new element formed has an atomic number that is the sum of the two elements' atomic numbers that were fused.


Final part: The answer to the clue here refers to your own final part.


No one has been given their Identities yet, so there's no reason to screw things up for other people unless you want them to hate you. You are free to assist each other in any way. Once everyone has signed onto their AIM name, the next part of the game will begin. Good luck!

I apologize, I didn't think upper or lower case letters would matter in the password but apparently it does. All letters in the password are lower case! even all letters of the chemical element. Just like in the example, every letter has to be lower case. Sorry if you tried it and it didn't work because you did upper case.


Also I encourage you to post your progress in your confessional so I can help you catch any mistakes like these that might be made. Better than trying passwords and not even knowing if they are right or not lol. If you post the answers you've gotten, I can help guide you in the right direction.


Finally, while I'm making announcements:


On Friday there will be a non-live task posted which you must contact me on AIM at a special time to complete. Information will be posted in your confessionals about that Friday morning.


The entire game Brooks has only logged in once for a period of maybe 3 minutes, posting "Hey Sweet Confessional" and one dry PM. So he has been replaced with someone else who will be checking into the game shortly. Since no one has been given Identities yet and Identities were decided before the game began, this should have no effect on things. With everyone hidden still and Identities not revealed, this makes a switch easy to accomplish.
