Welcome to Challenge #2. The winner of tonight's challenge will receive an Investigation. They will get to ask me one question: "Is ____ a Citizen or a Spy?" I will respond privately in their confessional.
Let's get to the instructions for the challenge! Like many of my challenges, the idea is simple in concept but a little difficult to explain. So bear with me while I explain how it works. Please read the instructions twice to get a better understanding of how it works.
---------------------------------
Setup: Divide into three teams of three people each.
Goal: Be the first team to solve your three-piece puzzle.
The first team that solves their puzzle moves onto Round 2, where those 3 will compete for the investigation.

There are 9 puzzle pieces total. You must find out which 3 of the 9 puzzle pieces belong to your Team, then put the puzzle together. What follows is a blank puzzle piece: You can print out multiple copies of this piece for your own personal use in the challenge. Or you could trace the image onto a piece of paper four or five times, and write in the information contained in each piece. You will need to do one of these to put the pieces together. Each piece will have several things on it, as follows: # - Every image has a # on it. This identifies which piece this is. This is very important in knowing which piece is labelled with each number. This number is NOT used in solving the puzzle. It's only purpose is to tell you the number of the piece you are looking at. Half-image - On both sides are half of an image. This helps you connect the pieces together in the right way. When you put two pieces of the puzzle together, an image will be created between the two pieces. (Please note: the image may not *exactly* fit due to computer difficulties. This is okay, as long as it is pretty close and it looks like an identifiable object.) Words - Use these words to solve the puzzle. Imporant Note: You will need to rotate the puzzle pieces to make them fit into a nine-sided polygon. Don't flip them, just rotate.

Okay, so let's catch up. You know there are 9 puzzle pieces and you need collect three of the right pieces to solve your own team's personal puzzle. The first team to solve their own puzzle moves on to the next round. But how do you collect your pieces? Simple, just ask for them from your tribemates. Each player will have the following information posted in their confessional at the start of the challenge: --------------------------- 1) An image of one of the nine puzzle pieces. 2) A piece of information describing which numbered piece belongs to which tribe. EXAMPLE: Piece Number 3 belongs to Team Omega. --------------------------- It is up to you to bargain with the other competitors. You can do or say anything to obtain either puzzle pieces or information about which number belongs to which team. You may find it beneficial to trade with other teams or other individuals. You may decide to make these trading decisions as a team. Or, individual members might take it upon themselves to share information without the team's knowledge. This is a social challenge. Lying about which piece belongs to which team may become commonplace in this challenge and could help your team achieve victory. To that end, some tricks have been incorporated into the puzzle which may make it easier to get away undetected with a white lie. Feel free to use whatever tricks you can come up with to get the end result you desire. The only thing that will be revealed by the hosts at the end of the challenge is verifying that the winning team posted the correct solution. If you are having trouble coming up with a solution, perhaps you should examine everything you've been told to see if anyone has fooled you into believing a lie. It could even be possible that your own teammate has given you false information to sabotage your own group...

So you finally got a solution, what do you do then?
Click on your team thread in your own private team forum. In your post, post BOTH the words in your completed puzzle AND the solution. You may also want to alert a host to check your submission.
In order to prevent constant guessing and possible sabotage, the following rule is in place regarding posting answers:
Each individual person must wait six minutes after posting an incorrect solution before posting another guess.
If you post a wrong answer, just add six minutes to that post and that is the time you personally can guess again. This rule only applies to individual people, so others on your team can make other guesses during this time.
Final notes:
* Should the game come to a standstill, after an unspecified amount of time I will begin to offer concrete answers. I will post a topic with a trivia question in the main forum. The first person to respond may request one puzzle piece (by number) or one piece of information about which puzzle piece goes to which tribe. This information will be IM'ed privately to the winner. This process will repeat itself every 3 minutes.
* Information about Round 2, where the 3 members of the winning team compete against each other, will be provided after Round 1 is over.
* The three puzzle pieces will not line up exactly as a nonagon when printed out and rotated. There will be a small gap between the pieces due to computer difficulties. This is fine, and it's still easy to tell which pieces go together by the pictures.
* Only nine people can compete in this challenge. If there are additional people they will be eliminated at the start of the challenge. If anyone drops out during the first round, players who did not make it into the Final 9 will compete to replace them. If anyone drops out in the second round, players who made it into the Final 9 will compete to replace them.
