EXILE #6.5
Judge Sam: “I’ve been feeling down due to the constant disappointments you all have experienced lately. I can’t even imagine what it would feel like for you if it is affecting me as it is. It can’t be easy, every week convincing yourself through hours of thought and discussion that you’ve solved a piece of the puzzle and finally discovered a Spy. Then, at Exile, you have that piece ripped from the puzzle as time and time again I reveal you have been misguided or fooled by the Spies. Three such experiences in a row would be hard for anyone to go through, but seven must be beyond frustrating.
I think all the evidence is there, all the tools are there, and all the experience is there but there must be something missing. Of course there will be plenty of time to delve into what exactly went wrong after the game but that does not mean that all hope for the Citizens is lost. There are still two more chances to catch a Spy before the game ends.
But before that happens let me applaud the Spies on a fantastically played game. They have brought the role of Spies to a whole other level, one I didn’t think was possible to bring it to. All have played their own unique game which has managed to allow them to remain in the game for so long. The Spies of Spies 4 will have a lot to live up to.”
Sam stands up resolutely, picks up the voting shoebox, and begins walking amongst the townspeople. One by one, they drop their vote into the shoebox. Some are satisfied with their choice, others are nervous and unsure. Everyone - Citizens and Spies alike - are praying that their name does not come up.
Judge Sam: "All of the votes have been received and verified, and a result has been decided. Let the Exiling begin."
Jordan did not vote tonight. However it was announced earlier, due to the fact that we are approaching the end of the game, everyone is active (except Jordan apparently), everyone has kept their aliases a secret for the most part, and have been keeping up with their confessional, no more penalty votes will be given out. However I still ask that you follow those rules (*COUGH* Arthur *COUGH*) and continue to vote, post conversations, and keep your alias a secret. You don’t need threats of punishment to do the right thing, you aren’t children. =)
First vote:
Jack, by Arthur.
Bebe, by Jack.
That’s one vote each for Bebe and Jack.
Third vote:
Arthur, by Matthew.
Jack, by Bebe.
Bebe, by Reicheru.
Two votes for Jack and Bebe, one vote for Arthur.
Sixth vote:
Jack, by Brooks.
Jack, by Bruce.
Jack, by Claire.
Jack, by Jessica.
Jack, by Raphael.
Jack, by Taylor.
Jack, by Tenchi.
Final Vote Count:
9 - Jack
2 - Bebe
1 - Arthur
Jack - You have been Exiled from the Burg under suspicion of being a Spy. It is now your time to leave. Goodbye.
Judge Sam: "Ouch. Another original person bites the dust. I cannot say enough positive things about you Jack or I’m afraid this post would go over the 25,000 character limit. You were the most active, signing on AIM all the time. You talked to everybody, formed the most theories, spread your theories, and never once gave up. Your confessionals were complete and through and I loved reading them. During the very first few days of the game your name was bandied around as a possible Spy and at one point I feared you would be the first out. I am incredibly grateful that didn’t happen because this game would be half as interesting without you.
You are polite, creative, strategic, personable, methodical, interested, and a pleasure to host. Thank you for giving your best to the game, you were easily one of the best players it has.”
Jack: Please post Final Words in your confessional immediately.
Jack takes one last look at their former friends. Saddened by being suspected of a Spy by the people they trusted, they take their supplies and compass and head out into the wilderness, disappearing into the sunset. You will never see them again.
It is now time to find out if this person was truly a Spy. If they were, we will rejoice in becoming one step closer to safety and security. If they were not, we just cast out an innocent soul. Someone just like us. Someone who wanted to eliminate the Spies just as badly as we do.
Jack was the....
most helpful Citizen ever.
Judge Sam: “We just Exiled the most helpful Citizen we had. His constant theories, ideas, and strategies attempted to kick start the Citizens into positive action and threaten the Spies. Not only did we ignore him, but even worse, we Exiled him. However, Jack never gave up in this game, not after the first failure, the second, or the seventh. Though there doesn’t seem to be much lessons learned from the 14 Citizens that have gone before us, maybe we can at least take that away.
Do you think the Spies will win in a shutout? So far they’ve played the perfect game.”
FINALE night is Sunday beginning at 7:00 PM CST. Of course if we do manage to catch a Spy that night, the finale will be postponed. Somehow I doubt that is going to happen at this rate. The Spies have carefully Imprisoned us and carefully Exiled us, so that only the most misguided, ineffectual, and divisive Citizens remain. That’s not being mean, it’s just a fact. They’ve played a fantastic game and have managed to confuse, deceive, and manipulate us from start to finish. They should be applauded. I’m sure they are going to have another party tonight.
I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
