Spies is the same game as Mafia and Wolves, but it uses it's own terminology. Here are the definitions:
Spy (aka Wolf, scum, Mafia): A Spy is someone who works undercover to eliminate all non-Spies via deception and Imprisonment, at which point they win the game.
Imprison (aka kill by wolves, shot by mafia): To be eliminated from the game by a Spy. A Spy will plant subversive evidence or frame a Citizen of a terrible crime or terrorist act. That Citizen will instantly be arrested and taken away for the group to be locked up in the dungeons a secret prison, never to be seen again.
Citizen (aka townies, humans, innocents): A Citizen is a normal player of the game without any special designation. A Citizens job is to stay in the game and eliminate all Spies. A Citizen wins when all Spies have been Exiled.
Exiled (aka hung, killed by players): A player is Exiled when they are voted out by the group under suspicion of being a Spy at a live Exiling. They are instantly eliminated from the game and their true identity is revealed.
Counteragent (aka Cop) - The Counteragent is a Citizen that can discover the identity of any individual. On the night of the Imprisoning, the Counteragent selects one person that they want to know is either a Citizen or a Spy. If that person survives the Imprisoning, their identity will be revealed to the Counteragent unless it is blocked by another character.
Psychic - The Psychic receives information on the chosen target for Imprisonment hours before it is to take place. If they so choose, they may decide to save that person from Imprisonment - resulting in no one being Imprisoned for that episode. They then lose their powers and return to a normal Citizen.
Please note that other special powers that are not announced may be assigned in the game.
Identity - Your Identity is whether you are a Citizen or a Spy. Either may have special powers.
Alias - Your alias is your real life name and personality. This should not be a factor in the game.
Judge Sam (aka the Mayor, host): Judge Sam is the host of the game, me.
Spies 1: The Infiltration: The first in a series of Spies games, this game introduces the Spy theme with generic Spies / Citizens / Government theme. It had 18 players, 3 Spies and 2 Counteragents.
Spies 2: The Recruitment: The second game in the Spies series. In Spies 2, two players were Recruited over the course of the game from a Citizen to a Spy, bringing a total of 3 Spies. One was Recruited by a random lottery at Exile #1 and one was Recruited by the Spies choice in Episode 3. It had 21 players, 3 Spies, and a number of unique roles.
Spies 3: The Collective: The third entry in the Spies series. What new twists and turns are in store for the new players?
