Do or Die...
was really worthless in this game honestly lol.
First person I told in the game...Bebe in episode 3. That was why im surprised i was imprisoned later in the game.
THen after Bebe and receiving a gift, I found the gift giver, taylor and told her.
Episode 4, I told Claire and Bruce.
Fearing that I may have told speis my power...I told everyone PUBLICLY that i had the power.
Then I lied saying I was giong to use it on Jack and it helped that people called me on the ability. That way I got information on who supported who. This round was also the basis for my Jordan vote the next round.
After lying, I made a public apology saying that I lied to everyone, to taylor, to bruce, to bebe, to claire to everyone. HOWEVER
the only person I told this plan to was Taylor, and I told her that I'm going to tell everyone I lied to keep them thinking I don't have the power.
So when episode 5 came and I used my power, most people were so shocked lol.
And I voted Jordan because in 4.5, he pressured me to use it hardcore on anyone. He thought it was cool. I felt that the spies were most likely to pressure people in using the ability at no cost. That's why Carrie I thought youw ere a spy as well because you wanted me to use it , just not on jack and shane . The people who weren't spies wouldve been like, its too risky trina.
But I was wrong...but it was a good lie <_<

i dont think i would have used the ability. ever.
best case, you oust a spy but now youre a sitting duck worst case, youre out of the game and the person you used the ability on is now screwed
i just dont see how its helpful. maybe if you knew 100% you were going anyway... i dont know

I knew that if anneliese went that round, i be imprisoned hte next. Thats why I used it. And its logical as well I guess. I'm directly linked to Anneliese because of taylor so it sucked lol.

It is a pretty strange power and does not really do much good for anyone, as per what Jakub said. Oh, well...Now everyone knows for sure Jordan is a citizen and there still has YET to be a spy caught. At least if you did use it to catch a spy, you may have been a "sitting duck," but at least you helped out the citizens to catch a REAL spy...Trina, did you REALLY think that Jordan was a spy? And if so, who led you to that conclusion. Also, was there NO ONE better you could have used your power on that you REALLY though was a spy? Just wondering...

Yeah, I was wondering that as well. Jordan was so far off my radar at that point in the game, I basically forgot he existed.

I don't know, I'd think that Judith, Jennipher, or Carrie would have loved to have this ability on the night they were Exiled. One cool bonus about this power says, if you know you are going to be Exiled, you get a last-ditch effort to save yourself. No one else gets that bonus.
Also using Do or Die does not confirm you as a Citizen or a Spy. Either could be given roles. In fact I was wavering between giving it to a Citizen or a Spy for a bit. If you do sucessfully pull it off, then you've caught a Spy that was generally unsuspicious to most people (which is why they didn't get enough votes to be Exiled, you wouldn't use it on someone who was already going to be Exiled). "Knowing" that someone was a Spy when most people didn't see it seems awfully suspicious to me, almost as if you had some advance knowledge that they were a Spy. Because otherwise that's a pretty big risk to take...
Plus as you can see people will "suspect" people who even have the most convincing alibis and are 99.99%-confirmed people lol. Also even if I did announce that you were confirmed Citizen after you used it, it doesn't mean you are gone. Adriana in Spies 2 survived 4 Imprisonments after being confirmed. Jordan is confirmed now, we'll see how many Imprisonments he lasts.

Adriana survived for other reasons, despite her being confirmed.

Honestly, the one thing I was thinking when i used the abiltiy was to catch a spy definitely and not screw up teh game for anyone else. I didn't want to use it on Jack because he was such a valuable player so if he was a spy, good for me but if he wasn't, then I get myself out of the game and screw the citizens over. I was thinking about the well intentions in the event that i left. At hte last minute, I voted Jordan at like 7;59. After I voted, I asked Sam immediately if I could change after the deadline passed because I was dying to change it to Bruce.
Unfortuantely Sam said no and hence I'm out. Though i may have stil be out if Bruce isn't a spy. My suspicion for Jordan was a result of me opening up about my ability. he was pushing me to use it hardcore. telling me to use it on this person and that person. I was so convinced that he just wanted me out of the game that I thought he was a spy and him conspiring with Tenchi made me a bit uneasy. So I felt he was an UTR spy. That's my reasoning.

Does seem like good reasoning, Trina. I think that we are all running around like chickens without heads during this game, and we make hasty decisions and they usually turn out not to work to our advantage, since many of us are being misled from those who are lying to us. Also, to Sam, this power is good up to a certain extent...If we do use it on the night we think we are going to be exiled, and it turns out the person we use it on was not a spy, then we're out. There are no guarantees to it, which is what makes it a dangerous and somewhat odd power to have.

I actually think Do or Die was more useful than The Builder in some ways, because with the Builder you were never too positive about who to tell or what to really do with it. Then you had to worry about people "forgetting to post". While Builder is a good indicator of who could be a spy or who could not, it's very tough to know just which way it goes. I like Do or Die because it's like BAM, you KNOW someone's alignment. Even though it could work against the citizens, I think what Trina didn't realize was that by sacrificing herself she gave way to that "counterspy" alliance I formed right before I was Imprisoned. It really made things a great deal easier for confirmed citizens to decode who were spies, and I made sure that since I figured I was Imprisoned next (tadaa, I was ) I got my opinion out there first.

Well, both roles gave us something to work with. Things were crumbling apart by the time Trina used that ability. I literally told Anneliese goodbye before that exile because I was positive that one of us was going home. Once Trina used the ability, we not only were able to keep the three "confirmed" players at the time(Myself, Anneliese, and Reicheru), but we were able to confirm both Jordan and Taylor in the same moment. So really, both played their parts.
I think we could have used the builder role more effectively in episode four when the bunker exploded... Too many people were given the word to really draw any conclusions.

I really wished Anneliese told me about that bunker ability not being a lie. I even doubted her lie about the bunker and told her directly lol. I was like, Anneliese you're lying about lying about your ability aren't ya, because THAT is WHAT I DID lol. So at the back of my head I knew she had something.
I think because an argument I had with Anneliese, it prevented her from telling me because I would not have helped Tenchi or influenced him to target you that round Jack if I knew that Anneliese had confirmed you and Reicheru for a fact. That was such a torturous round.

Ironically, I was laying low that round because I was worried about being imprisoned. The same day I planned to resurface, Anneliese made that thread. I was pissed off and began writing in my Confessional about how I had to go back to the drawing board all over again. Later on I went back and told myself that she HAD to be lying. I just see no reason for her to have played us for so long and to randomly come out with it. Turns out I was right.
