OK, first off: in a tribute to my old spying partner Allison, I'm going to be naming all of my confessions this game just as she did. Hey Ally! ;D
Second off: The first year, my partner-in-crime Soraya classified everyone by colour. I did the same with foods in Spies 2. In Spies 3 it'll be popular Japanese culture, which seems apt. I already know what Tenchi's going to be. :-)
Third off: What's up with the "Bye, whore" smilie on these public boards? Kids use these boards. Niiiiiiiice, proboards, real classy...
So I've met six people so far, effectively half the people in the game. Tenchi is great, really good character. The others, not so good as yet, but then maybe they're getting warmed up. There's a couple of obvious spy choices. Shane is SUCH an obvious choice that I feel Sam might have avoided him. (In Spies 1 and Spies 2, the "head" spy each time was a male small business owner. Let's face it, Shane meets this profile perfectly, and he's the only one in the game who does.)
But this brings me to another point - when does Sam choose the spies? They've not been revealed yet, and Sam's got all of our comments to think about. I suggested a random draw, and I can't help thinking that there may be some sort of random number twist coming up tonight. We all pick a number and the first three drawn are spies, something like that...
Next observation... in both previous Spies games there've been two spies of one sex, one of the other. In Spies 2 with the random selection and recruitment of the second and third spies, of course, that was out of the host's control. If it's not randomt his time however, I'm t hinking three spies of one sex would be a good way to go. Nobody'll expect it.
And coming back to what people expect, I suppose everyone's thinking one of the male characters (I'd groan if it was "Imagine" - D'UH!) is actually a fake to be taken out in the first elimination. But wouldn't it be fun if there were actually eight males and only six females, and the first imprisonment was a female? It'd be kind of a nice signal to "expect the unexpected". Of course "Imagine" is kind of a bit of both. Male, female, drag queen? Natural progression there.
More coming soon.
